Quorumbusters Campaign
In 2021, Texas Republicans presented a slew of bad bills, the most prominent being a voter restriction bill. With few options, Texas Democrats left the state for Washington, D.C., to break quorum and prevent the bill from advancing. Workers Defense created the Quorumbusters campaign, a play on the movie Ghostbusters, as a response. Through Ghostbuster-themed content, we helped rally support for lawmakers and keep our followers informed of the campaign. It was a highly engaging campaign that lawmakers appreciated. Because a quorum wasn't met, bills detrimental to workers didn't receive a vote during the regular or special sessions.
